Clemens VOGLER (AUSTRIA (Autriche))

Clemens VOGLER, born 25. 11. 1970, lives in St. Wolfgang, close to Salzburg. He receives hist first piano lessons at the age of 6 from the renomated classical pianist Peter Brugger. First contact to boogie woogie occured, when at the age of 15 hist sister gave him a record of Vince Weber “Vince the prince“ that she won as 1 price at kids golf turnament. Then the igniting incident was the concert of the stars of boogie woogie with Axel Zwingenberger and Champion Jack Dupree. From then on he studied the styles of the old musicians just like Albert Ammons, Meade “Lux“ Lewis and Pete Johnson. Soon after performing in the local scene he got some recognition as “Boogie clem“ . In summer1996 he played night of boogie and blues with Axel Zwingenberger, Vince Weber, Ray Bryant at the Fabrik in Hamburg, an international festival in honour to the piano 8 years after the 8.8.88 (88 keys of the piano). Now he is performing throughout europe, musical in Hamburg, hotel Lutetia et carousel du Louvre avec JP Bertrand,…his latest relase of “another life” is a mixture of blues and boogie woogie and some jazzy tunes, performed in trio with bass and drums.
