Emanuel JAHREIS (GERMANY - ALLEMAGNE)

Emanuel Jahreis was born 1973 in Hamburg (Germany). He is the son of two professional, classical Musicians and started playing the piano when he was five years old. At the age of twelve he won the famous classical “Young Musicians-Price” in Hamburg. With sixteen he started to fall in love with jazz-music. Apart from playing the piano and singing - the guitar became very important to him, too. He studied Music (Classic and Jazz) in Bremen. He is singing and playing piano wherever it is possible. He also has performed with other great musicians (e.g. Axel Zwingenberger, Gottfried Böttger…) all over the country. The pianos played by Emanuel Jahreis can tell a long story about the best of Blues, Boogie-Woogie and Ragtime.
