Jan PRESTION (Australia) - Wild Moon Swing

Jan PRESTON is a pianist singer who lives in Australia. Her biography is on-line on our site. Jan is an accomplished musician, which allows her to propose here a high-quality recording. The first title is "Blue Light Boogie", which was recorded by Louis Jordan on Decca label. It gives well the general tone of this album, Blues and Boogie ! Most of the 14 titles of this CD have been composed by Jan. We shall notice among others a good interpretation of Albert Ammons's " Shout for Joy " in solo. She is accompanied here by a double bass, drums and a tenor sax. Jan sings really well and her voice could be compared to the voice of the English singer Dana Gillespie. A discovery to be absolutely possessed, especially if you love female singers.
