Jörg HEGEMANN – A Tribute to Albert Ammons Piano Solo

“A Tribute to Albert AMMONS” is Jörg Hegemann’s salute to the grandmaster of Boogie Woogie Albert Ammons, who in 2007 would be celebrating his hundredth birthday. Albert Ammons was born September 23 1907 in Chicago. Jörg has exposed himself fully to the world of Boogie Woogie. His tribute to Ammons includes interpretations of original songs and the use of stylistic elements. It then follows the development of the Boogie into various musical genres. This album is excellent.
